Writing

A week into NaNoWriMo 2013, and not gonna lie, I'm surprised to find myself still writing. This has been a crazy few weeks with TUP (The Uni Project), and my body decided to add a bit of excitement to the mix with a bout of hayfever, so I was expecting my NaNo to stall after a couple of days.

Guess I'll see where it ends up :-)

Cups of coffee so far: 4
Random snippet:
The floor lights switched back from red to green, flashing three times. [She] had the luck of facing the right direction. The lights around the top of the turrets always dimmed for a moment before they shot out a ball. She spotted the slight change on the turret nearest to her, and hopped backwards just in time, instinctively pulling back the body nearest to her. The ball that flew past was one of the fastest they'd seen yet.
Wordcount:

10150 / 50000 words. 20% done!

Whooohoooo!!! Go you. :D

That little snippet is intriguing! Is your NaNo story an original? Sounds like it might be sci-fi?

*shakes pompoms* :)

Thanks bb ♥

And yes, it's original sci-fi! Possibly also Young Adult, not sure yet until I get more of the story out. My goal this year is not just to get to 50k but actually finish the story to some degree.

I greatly appreciate the support!

Good luck, sweetie, it reads promising so far.

Oh man, the hardest part is always resisting the urge to revise XD I'm curious to see where it goes, though. Thanks so much!
