Decided to take a much-needed break today from The Uni Project, which shall be henceforth known as TUP, because it's been a couple of weeks of low-level but persistent stress, and I was starting to feel a bit cross-eyed. (I'm more accustomed to short, sharp bursts of high stress, of the sizzle noodles onna blender where did this deadline come from?!?! variety.)

Sent off a long overdue reply-letter to a friend that's been sitting on my desk since Monday. Whereupon I was informed, by the nice lady at the post office, that it's cheaper to send cards than letters?

Have lately been devouring an alarming amount of SGA fic - specifically, McShep. Which I kind of shipped back when I was watching it as it aired, but didn't read a lot of fic of or participated in the fandom. Can't remember which fandom I was in at the time. Torchwood? SPN? That said, the fandom overlap is ridiculous; I opened one reclist and could identify every single writer on it from their fics in other fandoms. It's probably to do with a certain subset of fandom having very similar tastes.

Actually, to this day, I consider the SGA fic reading of my fandom life the best and awesomest of all. I'm no longer in the fandom, but I still remember this. If you haven't read Indelible by shaenie, you must.

I just read 'Indelible' last week AND I TOTALLY AGREE IT WAS MINDBLOWING. I feel like such a glutton from all the fic I've been reading, seriously, AND THERE IS SO MUCH OMG. I'm definitely sad that I wasn't active in the fandom, though enough of my friends were that I still got stuff second-hand :D

I wouldn't mind a link to a sga reclist myself! :) My favourites in sga is all of the fic by astolat (I regularly reread a few, but too many to mention) and written by the victors by speranza, which is one of those one of a kind amazing fics that left me all buzzing with thoughts for ages afterwards, I also have read it multiple times.

eeee yes I've come to accept that I will read anything by astolat and absolutely love it :D (I highly rec all her Thor and Merlin stuff too). have bookmarked the victors-verse but didn't want to read it until I had a fairly solid grounding in the SGA fanwork landscape.

here are some of the reclists I've been using:
- amalthia's master rec list (DW)
- SGA recs at polyfandomrecs
- Thematic list: McShep kidfic
- McShep recs by verob2002

Oh, I read all the astolat fic I can. :) She's one of the few authors I follow into other fandoms, read fic from unfamiliar fandoms she's written.

Thanks so much for links! I will definitely have a look. :)
